What Care Pathway Stands For

EMPOWERING EXCELLENCE IN CARE, PUBLIC HEALTH, AND LEADERSHIP

Care Pathway is more than a platform—it is a movement to champion inclusive, person-centered, and values-driven care through practical tools, reflective practice, and authentic dialogue. At its core is a commitment to creativity, innovation, and real- world solutions in public health and social care.

Whether a frontline care provider, researcher, student, policy influencer, or care entrepreneur, Care Pathway offers a space to be recognised, empowered, and equipped—without losing sight of the people at the heart of care.

VISION

To nurture a growing community of bold, compassionate changemakers who reimagine excellence in public health and social care through shared values, lived experience, and collective action.

MY GUIDING PRINCIPLES: THE FOUNDATION CARE PATHWAY

Person-Centred, Compassionate Practice

Every tool, framework, and strategy I develop is rooted in empathy, dignity, and responsiveness—supporting care that sees the whole person, not just the system..

Lived Experience as Leadership Insight

I centre the voices and contributions of people with lived experience, recognising their expertise as essential to transforming services and driving meaningful change.

Collaborative and Reflective Leadership

My work supports leaders and practitioners to co-produce, reflect critically, and lead with purpose—prioritising long-term impact over short-term fixes.

Equity, Access, and Real-World Innovation

I challenge inequities by designing inclusive, practical resources that blend frontline insight with evidence, creating space for new, transformative approaches.

FOUNDER

Bimpe Kuti-Matekenya BSc, MPH, PGCE, SFHEA, FRSPH

My name is Bimpe Kuti-Matekenya—Public Health Educator and Researcher, Keynote Speaker, and Advocate for Inclusive, Person-Centred Care. By day, I work at the University of Greater Manchester as the Program Lead for Public Health. By evenings and the weekends, I am the founder of Care Pathway, a platform I created to document and share what I am most passionate about: reshaping public health and social care through innovation, inclusion, and impact.

With over a decade of experience spanning public health leadership and research, higher education, social care development, and service user and carer involvement (SUCI), I have worked across academic institutions, collaborative projects, and frontline care settings. Whether I am supporting care providers with strategic planning, mentoring future public health leaders, or co-producing service improvements with people with lived experience, my goal is consistent: to help shape inclusive, effective, and sustainable care solutions.

My work has included:

  • Leading national conversations and research on service user and career involvement (SUCI) in education and practice.

  • Designing and launching postgraduate programmes in public health.

  • Helping social care entrepreneurs navigate CQC registration, compliance, and resilience planning.

  • Delivering keynote addresses, guest lectures, and workshops across academic institutions, the NHS, and third sector platforms.

I am proud to support others through my growing library of free toolkits, strategic resources, and community workshops—all of which have been tried, tested, and refined through real-world experience and positive feedback. My goal now is to share this knowledge more widely, with care providers who are passionately serving their communities but often lack the space and time to pause, reflect, and evaluate the impact of their work.

My upcoming podcast series will continue this mission by amplifying voices that are too often underrepresented in mainstream health and care systems, bringing lived experience and grassroots innovation to the forefront.

Care Pathway is the space where all of these threads come together—a hub for accessible knowledge, collaborative growth, and reflective learning. Whether you are a care provider, policymaker, student, or simply passionate about creating better health and care systems, I hope this platform serves you well.

When I am not teaching, researching, delivering workshops or facilitating reflective spaces, I find joy in, journaling and reading

Thank you for visiting. I invite you to explore the resources, tune into the podcast, and join the Empowering Excellence Network. It is an honour to walk alongside you as we reimagine what excellence in care can truly look like—together.

WHAT MAKES THIS PLATFORM DIFFERENT?

  • I advocate for co-production and inclusive leadership, where diverse voices are not only heard but actively shape decisions.

This platform is designed to share meaningful conversations and practical insights that often remain outside the mainstream—delivered in a way that is accessible to those who need it most.
