Introducing: The Peoples Healthcast

The People’s Healthcast is born out of my deep passion for all things public health and a firm belief that the most meaningful change happens when we centre the voices of those with lived experience.
Through my work in Public Health - research, education, service user and carer involvement, I have seen how real insight and innovation in health and social care come not just from policy—but from people. That’s why I created The People’s Healthcast—a free podcast series hosted on my website - Care Pathway to amplify the voices of those who live it, lead it, and challenge it every single day.
In each episode, I am joined by remarkable guests—community leaders, frontline practitioners, service providers, researchers, service users, carers, and public health champions—who are shaping the future of care with courage, creativity, and compassion.
Together, we explore the big issues and bold ideas that are driving transformation: from tackling health inequalities and various health and social care challenges in marginalised communities, to co-designing care with service users, to grassroots leadership.
This podcast is more than just conversation—it's a platform for connection, collaboration, and impact. Because when people are truly heard, public health can truly work.
WHY THIS PODCAST
Health and care systems are evolving—but meaningful change will only happen when the voices of those with lived experience lead the way. That’s the heartbeat of The People’s Healthcast.
This podcast is for:
🟡 Public health professionals who, like me, believe leadership means listening—
especially to those at the sharp end of inequality.
🟡 Social care providers and entrepreneurs seeking bold, practical ideas to deliver
care that is truly person-centred, culturally competent, and rooted in communities.
🟡 Educators, students, and future changemakers who are ready to challenge
outdated models and reimagine systems that work with people, not on them.
🟡 Anyone who believes in justice, dignity, and better care for all—and wants to
be part of a movement that centres lived experience, not just lived roles.
Because this isn’t just about systems. It’s about people. And that’s where real transformation begins. The most important question in health and care today: “Are we really listening?”
WHY THIS MATTERS NOW?
In an era of policy change, workforce pressure, and rising inequalities, listening well is a leadership skill—and a strategic act.
Whether you are a care provider, a system leader, or a public health educator, The People’s Healthcast offers a mountain of value:
Grounded insights from those shaping care at the front line
Lived experience perspectives that disrupt the tick-box
Curated conversations that help you identify where your service or system needs to grow
Stay connected! Join the conversation.
